This is TSV id Walk #1 of 6. John Kehoe, renowned local arborist, will be conducting the tour with focus on native trees, shrubs, and more. Collecting samples will be allowed, so bring clippers and a container.

Take Exit 18 off of I-95 - Sherwood Island Connector. Follow signs for East Beach and the Nature Center.
We will meet at the Nature Center.

This is TSV ID Walk #2 of 6. Michele Sorensen, President of the Friends of Sherwood Island State Park, and Nature Center Intern Advisor will be conducting this extraordinary tour with focus on native trees, shrubs, and more. Sherwood Island offers a variety of native trees, and shrubs along the gorgeous hiking and salt marsh nature trails. Collecting samples will be allowed, so bring clippers and a container.

Branford Supply Pond Park is a 350 acre refuge with hiking trails, a trout pond, diverse wildlife, beautiful trees and shrubs.

Conn College Arboretum, Wednesday, 5/18/26, 10:00 AM - Noon. Rain date: Wednesday, 5/27/26

Connecticut College Arboretum Native Plant Collection entrance Gate is west of Williams Street, New London We will meet at the front gate of the Native Plant Collection on Williams St.
There is limited parking on Williams street. Optional parking is at 33 Gallows Lane just north of the Native Plant Collection. Allow a few extra minutes to walk to the entrance.
This Native Plant Collection primarily features trees and shrubs native to eastern North America. It also includes a wildflower garden, a pond, and much more.

Goodwin State Forest, Sunday, 5/31/26, 10:00 - Noon. Rain date: Sunday, 6/7/26
23 Potter Rd., Hampton. We will meet in the parking log across from the Education Center.

This state forest covers approximately 2,000 acres and offers 6 top walking & hiking trails, educational programs, native shrubs, trees, vines, a 135 acre Pine Acres Lake, and more.

Egerton Park, Saturday, 6/6/26, 10:00 AM - Noon. Rain date: Saturday, 6/13/26
75 Cliff Street, New Haven. We will meet in the back of the Carriage House.

This is TSV ID Walk #6 of 6. Sandi Wilson, MG Coordinator for the Fairfield County Extension will lead this fun and educational walk of the campus with focus on native trees, shrubs, and more. Giulia Gambale, MG Coordinator for the New Haven MG Extension will also assist. Bring your clippers and containers, as taking samples will be allowed.
