CMGA is offering a FREE Tree ID Tour for Interns in six areas of the state in May and June, 2026.

Join a group of fellow interns for a guided walk to help you identify native trees, shrubs and vines for your TSV project. CMGA offers these tours to help you to increase your gardening knowledge as part of our commitment to the state’s gardening community, Master Gardeners and Interns.

These tours are for Interns only. Registration is required as space is limited. Please be sure to register for one tour only. Note registration ends a few days before each tour date.

Elizabeth Park, Tuesday, 5/5/26, 10:00 AM - Noon. 1561 Asylum Ave., Hartford. Meet at the flagpole. John Kehoe will be the arborist and guide. Plenty of parking. Rain date: Wednesday 5/6/26

Sherwood Island, Tuesday, 5/12/26, 10:00 AM - Noon. Ext 18 off I-95, Sherwood Island Connector, Westport. Meet at the Nature Center. Michele Sorenson will be the guide . Plenty of parking in the lot. Rain date: Tuesday 5/19/26

Branford Supply Pond Park, Saturday, 5/16/26 10:00 AM - Noon. Robert Kuchta will be the guide. Rain date: Saturday 5/23/26

Conn College Arboretum, Monday 5/18/26, 10:00 AM - Noon. Williams St., New London. Meet at Native Plant Collection Gate. Scott D’Agostino will be the guide. Limited parking on Williams Street . Additional Parking at 30 Gallows Lane, just north of the Native Plant Collection. Allow a few extra minutes to walk to the entrance. Rain date: Wednesday 5/27/26

Goodwin State Forest, Sunday, 5/31/26, 10:00 AM - Noon. 23 Potter Rd., Hampton. Meet in the parking lot, across from the Education Center. John Lorusso will be the guide. Rain date: Sunday 6/7/26

Edgerton Park, Saturday 6/6/26 10:00 AM - Noon. 75 Cliff Street, New Haven. Sandi Wilson will be the guide. Meet in the back of the Carriage House. Rain date: Saturday 6/13/26
