This presentation offers a fresh, personal way to extend that feeling of calm and joy to Master Gardeners beyond the garden and into everyday home life through biophilic decorating -- the practice of bringing natural elements like plants, natural light, wood, stone, and nature-inspired colors and patterns into indoor spaces. It's a great way to celebrate the mind-body benefits of nature in a new, personal context.
Biophilic home decorating is the practice of bringing nature into your living space so you feel more connected to it, even indoors. This presentation will cover practical, easy-to-apply ideas such as simple houseplant arrangements, natural material choices for furniture and decor, small changes to increase sunlight and airflow, and nature-inspired design touches that work in any home, big or small. Focus will highlight the personal benefits of a greater sense of calm, improved mood, and a stronger everyday connection to nature between trips to the garden.
