Grant Information for 2024

Spring GRANT APPLICATION CYCLE is open

We’ve heard you! We’ve taken your feedback and made some changes to our 2024 Grant Program to help you to better plan and prepare your projects! We will still offer two cycles per year but have adjusted our timelines.

  • A winter grant cycle was added - applications are now closed and decisions will be made in early February 2024.

  • The spring cycle timeline has changed - applications will open in mid-April 2024, close in mid-May 2024, and funding decisions will be made in early June 2024.

  • The (former) summer grants cycle will be eliminated.

In addition, the maximum amount of a grant has been increased from $350 to $500!

We are hoping that these changes can help you with the following:

  1. Planning in the fall of 2023 for a project in 2024 will enable you to engage the support of local businesses and organizations earlier,

  2. You’ll have more time to recruit and organize volunteers,

  3. If your project allows, you can do start seedlings in the late winter and have them ready to transplant in the spring,

  4. If your grant isn’t funded for the winter cycle, you’ll be able to re-apply for a grant in the spring cycle, and still have all summer to work on your project!
