Why should I become a CMGA member?

As the alumni association of the UConn Extension Master Gardener Program, CMGA’s main purpose is to enable graduates of this program to learn more about gardening and related topics, and then share that knowledge with their communities through various gardening projects and horticulture programs. We also host numerous fun and educational events that allow our members to meet and associate with others who have similar interests.

Your CMGA membership dues provide grant money to fellow MGs for approved outreach activities, and also support the UConn Extension Master Gardener Program via scholarships and office stipends. Your dues payments are essential to the continued vitality of the MG program.

CMGA membership benefits include:

  • Advance registration and a discounted fee for the CMGA Annual Symposium, our largest educational and fundraising event.

  • Free admission to speakers and tours to the Annual Meeting.

  • Digital subscription to current year of The Laurel, the seasonal newsletter publication filled with event news, outreach stories and information.

  • Discount Partners List - Special "members only" offers and savings from garden centers, nurseries and farms.
