2011 Summer Garden Safari

Private Garden Tours:
Dr. Pauline Olsen’s Sunken Gardens
Dr. Olsen’s Main Street garden was designed by landscape architect Fletcher Steele. Highlights include numerous fountains, a formal Italianate garden, an artistic hardscape throughout, and a 100-year-old Hinoki cypress, among other treasures. Evan Cowles/Brie Quinby Garden
This old Farmington home is surrounded by established perennial gardens and mature, notable trees. Ed Richardson, a well-known tree architect, has visited their home and identified trees such as yellowwood, Dawn Redwood, Japanese katsura, and many others.
